Ravens Nation will gain a new member in the coming months as Torrey Smith and his wife Chanel took to Instagram to make a special announcement.
They’re expecting the birth of their first child.
With Joe Flacco and linebacker Daryl Smith already having children within the past two weeks, it appears that the Under Armour Performance Center might have to replace their putting green out front with a jungle gym.
The Smiths first met while in college at the University of Maryland. Both Torrey and Chanel were active in the athletics program, Torrey playing football (obviously) while Chanel was a member of the track team.
Talk about some speedy 40 times.
The couple just recently wed during the offseason and honeymooned prior to the Ravens beginning training camp. Clearly, Â Torrey and Chanel didn’t want to waste any time having a rookie of their own.
Taking to Instagram was a great way for the couple to share their news, as both Torrey and Chanel have been very open with sharing their relationship and experiences in Baltimore through social media. I’m sure I echo the sentiments of all of Ravens Nation when I say that we wish the couple nothing but the best of luck during this happy time.
