Joe Flacco has certainly had his fair share of struggles this season and the team coming into town has presented problems for Joe in the past.
You may recall the last time Rexy & The Jets visited M&T Bank Stadium in 2011 it was a Sunday Night Football game, unseasonably chilly for an October 2nd evening with game time temperature of 51 degrees.
Flacco and his opposing quarterback Mark Sanchez put on a clinic for bad quarterbacks. Sanchez was 11 of 35 for 119 yards and an interception to go along with 3 lost fumbles for a QB Rating of 30.5
Flacco wasn’t much better going 10 for 31 for 163 yards, a pick 6 and a lost fumble for a QB Rating of 37.43. At one point Flacco had 12 consecutive incomplete passes spanning the 2nd and 3rd quarters. The Ravens put up 34 points in the game, 21 of them by the defense.
One season prior the Ravens beat the Jets 10-9 to open the season on Monday Night in a dreadful game for fantasy football aficionados.
Suffice it to say, things get a little ugly when these two teams go head-to-head.
As time goes by things do change as do teams and players. Hopefully Joe Flacco can get it going and take advantage of the league’s 23rd ranked pass defense. We’ll find out soon enough.
