The Ravens and Lions had their final practices for their Monday night clash on Saturday, and while the Ravens look to be quite healthy, Detroit has some injury concerns.
Listed as doubtful for Mt. St. Joe grad Jim Schwartz’s squad are cornerbacks Chris Houston and Darius Slay, two of the top three on the depth chart at the position. So that’s the good news for Ravens fans.
The bad news? Those two are also Detroit’s lowest-graded defenders over the entire season, per Pro Football Focus. Still, it’s not unfair to think that the options behind Slay and Houston are even worse, so hopefully the Ravens will be able to take advantage through the air.
Detroit’s other big unknown is running back Reggie Bush. Bush has put together a monster of a season for the Lions, racking up 1302 yards from scrimmage in 11 games, and adding five touchdowns. Basically, he looks like a vintage version of Ray Rice.
Bush sat out last week’s snow game in Philadelphia with an aggravated calf injury, and you can bet the Ravens are hoping he’s down for this one as well. Clifton Brown of CSNBaltimore reports that he’s expected to give it a go.
On the Ravens side, as we’ve discussed all week, it looks like Elvis Dumervil will be ready to go and hopefully get after Lions QB Matt Stafford, who has been sacked a league-low 15 times.
