There’s a heat wave rolling through Baltimore as the Ravens and Patriots prepare to meet on Sunday. After playing in bitter cold temperatures on Thanksgiving night against Pittsburgh, then in a whiteout snowstorm against the Minnesota Vikings, the Ravens must feel like the calendar is going backwards after playing in a dome on Monday night and now with temperatures Sunday expected to be near 70 degrees.
However, it wouldn’t be a Ravens game without some potential weather issues. Though the mercury in the thermometer will be reaching levels it hasn’t in many a week, it won’t just be a calm and clear warm day at M&T Bank Stadium. In addition to the unseasonably warm temperatures, the forecast calls for 20 mile per hour winds and scattered thunderstorms, some of which could be severe.
Just another day at the office for the Baltimore Ravens, right?
On the injury front, the plan for Joe Flacco to play wearing a brace on his sprained left knee remains in place, as he’s officially listed as questionable for Sunday. Also listed as questionable is Ray Rice, who suffered a thigh injury Monday night on the play where many thought he went down just to help kill the clock. Against the Patriots’ 31st-ranked run defense, Rice could be in for his best game since playing in the slop at Soldier Field against the Bears, so hopefully his thigh doesn’t act up on Sunday.
Elvis Dumervil was added to Friday’s injury report after practicing fully on Wednesday and Thursday, and is also questionable.
Patriots left tackle Nate Solder is listed as questionable, but expect him to play.
Here are the injury reports from Friday’s practices, as well as full game status updates:
