Ravens Senior Advisor to Player Development O.J. Brigance never stops.

There is no offseason for Brigance, who along with his wife Chanda and his “Brigance Brigade”  are once again striving to improve the lives of those living with ALS.

The Brigance Brigade, an organization that supports ALS patients and their families created by O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda announced on Tuesday that the foundation will hold their first annual 5.7K family fun run event on Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore, MD.

Proceeds from the 5.7K event will go towards furthering the mission of the Brigance Brigade Foundation whose goal it is to equip, encourage and empower people living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) by providing access to equipment and services to patients and their families.

“Chanda and I are excited to host the first-ever Brigance Brigade Foundation 5.7K Run,” said O.J. Brigance, Co-Founder of the Brigance Brigade Foundation. “Our goal is create a fun, family friendly event for our community to enjoy while supporting a good cause and raising awareness for a terrible disease affecting people across the country. The city of Baltimore has always been extremely supportive, and we hope to see the community come out in full force to support our mission of helping to improve the lives of those living with ALS.”

The day promises to be filled with fun and fitness for everyone who attends. The event will feature a timed 5.7K run, as well as a 1 mile run/walk, and a kids’ fun run. The event will also feature a Fun Zone where children and families involved in the race can gather and enjoy exciting activities for all ages. Following the race, runners will have access to post race snacks, bottled water, and food.

All participants will receive a free t-shirt, and 5.7K finishers will receive a commemorative race medal. Corporate sponsorships are available and participants will have the opportunity to fundraise as an individual or as a team.
