DRAFT PROSPECTS: Interior O-Line Recap

Share
Reading Time: 2 minutes

We just finished up our recap of the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft’s most intriguing interior offensive line prospects. With the Ravens hiring Gary Kubiak as offensive coordinator, getting some new, more athletic offensive linemen is certainly at the top of the to-do list. Here’s a recap of what we detailed (click on the round to see the entire post):

Round One

Travis Swanson and Cyril Richardson should be on the Ravens’ radar. They are two big-bodied guys that could bulk up the interior of the line and help Kubiak’s offense work effectively in both the pass and run game. We also highlighted one of the most interesting offensive line prospects, Zach Martin.

Round Two

In this edition, we looked at two guys from powerhouse schools, Alabama and Florida State. Both Bryan Stork and Anthony Steen are players that you’ll want to read more about. Assuming the Ravens go after a pass-catcher in the first round, this scenario might work. Gabe Jackson, one of the prime guards in the draft was also spotlighted here.

Round Three

One of the most interesting centers, Weston Richburg, was the big topic of our third round article. Richburg helped anchor the Colorado State offensive line and was a huge factor in their success. Xavier Su’a-Filo, UCLA’s impact lineman was also looked at as an option in this article.

Round Four

This article was an ACC special, looking at Brandon Linder from Miami and Russell Bodine from North Carolina. Both Linder and Bodine have a downside, but come with a potential big reward. Check out input from CBS’ Rob Rang and more interesting facts about these two workhorses.

Round Five

We dug deep for some sleepers in this article. Marcus Martin from USC was the center we spotlighted as possible competition for Gino Gradkowski. We also took a look at Ka’Deem Edwards, a small-school prospect who turned heads during Senior Bowl week.

Rounds Six and Seven

If you’re a fellow draft-nik, you’ll appreciate these deep sleepers. If not, you can learn why great talent can lie deep in draft boards. James Stone and Ryan Groy are over-shadowed by other prospects, but they could turn into stars. Read why Ozzie Newsome and his staff should take a hard look at these two guys.

Next up, we dive into the wide receiver pool!
