Owner Steve Bisciotti clearly expects John Harbaugh to be the Ravens coach for a long time. Bisciotti told reporters at the NFL owners meeting Monday that he gave Harbaugh a one-year extension last month, added to the three-year extension Harbaugh already received last year.
That means Harbaugh is under contract through 2017.
Anyone who thought Bisciotti had begun to waver on Harbaugh? Forget it. Despite coming off an 8-8 season, Bisciotti still believes strongly in his head coach, for next season, and for the long haul.
Harbaugh’s resume is very impressive. He has a Super Bowl victory, two division championships, five playoff appearances in six seasons, and a 9-4 postseason record. Now Bisciotti expects more success from Harbaugh.
The Ravens’ organization was stung by last season from top to bottom.
