Former Baltimore Ravens Christian Thompson will work out for the Washington Redskins Wednesday, according to a source.
Thompson was a fourth-round pick of the Ravens in 2012, but he was suspended the first four games of last season for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy and has been out of football since the Ravens released him in October.
Thompson, 23, played in college at Auburn and South Carolina State.
He was an all-conference selection as a senior at South Carolina State in 2011. And at 6-foot, 211 pounds, Thompson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine, the fastest time among safeties in 2012.
However, he only played in seven games for Baltimore as a rookie before being placed on injured reserve and was then released last year.
