Introductions…

Hello my fellow Ravens Fanatics, this is Crystal Gargani and boy are you in for a treat! I am here at Russell Street Report to provide you with all the info and insight you need to spill that black & purple heart of yours into the LFL’s Baltimore Charm! If you are not yet familiar with the Legends Football League (formerly known as the Lingerie Football League) let me just say: You’re Welcome.

The Legends Football League made its debut in 2009 as a Pay-Per-View alternative to the Super Bowl halftime show. There are currently 10 active teams in the United States, five in Australia, and the franchise is growing globally at an impeccable rate. Let’s move past the formalities though. You know how to use Google, right? What you want to know is this: 7-on-7, full tackle, women’s arena football… in teeny-tiny uniforms.

Football and beautiful women – does it get better than that? I don’t think so.

But don’t be fooled by the pleasing aesthetic; these stunning footballHers aren’t just nice to look at, they come to play and they play hard! To sum things up: Beauty is a beast.

Without further delay let me introduce your Baltimore Charm! The Baltimore Charm came on the scene in 2010. Always considered an underdog, Charm shocked the LFL stream when they went 3-1 in their 2013 season. Falling short by a mere six seconds in their post-season game verses Philly Passion, Charm was one win shy of going to the Legends Cup in Las Vegas.

Now it’s 2014… and with a talented roster that includes six returning veterans, Charm is licking their chops and has their eye on the prize. Head coached for a 2nd season by Redskins Super Bowl alumni Gary Clark, Charm is putting in work, training in speed, agility, and technique. This team of extraordinary athletes is determined to bring the Legends Cup home to Baltimore in 2014.

The Opening Game…

The ladies of Charm put up a good fight in the season opener on April 12th, against a loaded Jacksonville Breeze roster. Unfortunately the veteran talent of the Breeze proved to be just a little too strong for the less experienced Charm. The final score was 27-12 Jacksonville, as the Breeze’s Saige Steinmetz ran for a total of 143 yards in 13 carries, resulting in three touchdowns against Baltimore.

The Charm defense is coached by former NFL Philadelphia Eagles defensive back, John F. Booty who has zoned in on the game film and expanded his playbook to ensure that Charm’s d-line will stop the run in their next game on June 21st against the Toledo (formerly Cleveland) Crush. Second season veterans Kym Jack, Heather Hudson, and Tashawna Gaines are taking the rookie defensive players under their wing and aiding in the development of their strength and ability, to mold what will surely become a force to be reckoned with.

Stay tuned for more updates, player spotlights, and behind the scenes details for your Baltimore Charm. Can’t wait until game day to meet the team in person?
