OWINGS MILLS – Not surprising that with temperatures in the 90’s on Wednesday, tempers flared during Ravens minicamp.
In the preliminary scuffle, Ravens rookie tackle Tim Jernigan wrestled with rookie tight end Crockett Gillmore after the whistle blew. Both players ended up on the ground, and had to be separated.
Then in the main event, wide receiver Steve Smith got into skirmish with cornerback Lardarius Webb. After making a catch, Smith was knocked to the ground by Webb and obviously did not appreciate being knocked down.
They exchanged words, Smith shoved Webb, Webb shoved back, and Smith came back at Webb before they were separated.
