The Baltimore Ravens will unveil the Ray Lewis statue, which is being placed near the Johnny Unitas statue on the north side of M&T Bank Stadium near the middle of Gate A. The unveiling will take place on Thursday, September 4 at 11 a.m.
In attendance will be Lewis, owner Steve Bisciotti, team president Dick Cass and general manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome. A number of Lewis’ teammates, family and friends will also join the celebration, which is expected to last 15 minutes. Lewis will speak from the podium and will not be available for one-on-one interviews. Sculptor Frederick Kail, who also assembled the Unitas statue, will be present and answer media questions following the event. Kail worked with Lewis and the Ravens to select the pose for the statue.
Do you think our own mock version of the statue will closely resemble the Frederick Kail’s rendition?
