The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with S Kendrick Lewis on a three-year contract, general manager and executive vice president Ozzie Newsome announced Saturday afternoon.
Lewis will arrive in Baltimore early this coming week to take a physical.
A five-year NFL veteran, Lewis, 26, started all 16 games for the Houston Texans last year, producing a team-high 84 tackles, six passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown).
Lewis has 253 tackles, 28 passes defensed, nine interceptions (two for touchdowns), five forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries during his career. He played his first four NFL seasons in Kansas City, where he was selected out of Mississippi in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL draft.
