The Case Against Picking a CB Early

This is an interesting take from Shawn Brubaker of Baltimore Sports and Life. He suggests that there are only three legitimate first round picks in this draft – Trae Waynes, Kevin Johnson, and Jalen Collins. He thinks that the other three who have been considered first round prospects, Ronald Darby, P.J. Williams, and Marcus Peters, are first round pretenders. LINK

Analyzing the Ravens 2015 Schedule

I took a brief look yesterday at the chances the Ravens had at making the playoffs, winning the AFC North, and winning the Super Bowl. Over at Purple Reign Show, Jace Evans gives a game-by-game breakdown of the Ravens 2015 schedule. After looking through it, he has the Ravens going 9-7. LINK

Diggs, Others Participate in Ravens Local Prospect Day

Stefon Diggs and Deon Long of the Maryland Terps are two of the local propspects whom the Ravens hosted yesterday at team headquarters. If the Ravens were to take either player in the middle rounds of the draft, it would make a ton of fans happy who cheer for both football teams. Josh Stirn of 247Sports has the full story. LINK

Draft question No. 9: Can Ravens find a TE?

The role of the tight end has increased in the NFL in recent years, and the Ravens need one. That might be tough to do, however, considering how weak the draft class is at the position, with no prospects projected to go in the 1st round. The Ravens will have to find one some way, since they have very little experience at the position on the roster. Clifton Brown of CSN Baltimore gives us a few ways that the Ravens could go. LINK

Revamped Steelers face rough start

If it makes you feel any better about the Ravens’ schedule, the Steelers also have a tough schedule to start the season. They start on the road for Opening Night at New England on the road. What makes their schedule very tough are the games at the end of the season. They’ll be on the road in 3/4 final games, which include games @Cincinnati, vs. Broncos, @Baltimore, and @Cleveland in that order. They also asked for their two West Coast games to come in back to back weeks, but they weren’t granted that request. LINK
