Bernard Pierce, in honor of the social media trend, Throwback Thursday (#tbt), posted this picture to Instagram of he and Ray Lewis embracing following their 34-31 win over the San Fransisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.

Say what you want about Bernard Pierce, but he is a Super Bowl champion. His performance during that year had a lot to do with the Ravens’ success. During the 2012 playoffs, Pierce amassed 202 yards on 39 carries. Which was good for a 5.2 yards per carry mark.
Pierce’s most memorable game during that run was the first game of that run against the Indianapolis Colts. In that game, Pierce carried the ball 13 times for 103 yards. His 43 yard run during that game was the longest run for the team in the postseason.
With all that has happened since (all of it Pierce’s own doing), I’m glad that he can look back on his memories with the Ravens fondly, particularly the incredible 2012 Super Bowl run.
