Ravens tied for the NFL’s most injuries
If you thought the Ravens were dealing with more injuries than the average team, you were right. According to NJ.com writer, Jordan Raanan, the Ravens were tied for the most injuries before the third preseason game. While the number of injured starters (3) sits close to the league average, there are some pretty important role players who have missed significant time.
The regular season can’t get here soon enough. LINK
He’s No Regular Joe
Andy Benoit of MMQB calls Joe Flacco “the most underappreciated quarterback in the NFL – by far.” I agree, Andy. He also calls Flacco cerebral and “thoughtful, refreshingly honest, and eloquent.” Benoit goes on to explain the strengths of the Ravens’ roster, which include both the offensive and defensive line. He calls the depth at the skill positions a concern (which I would consider untrue, it’s the lack of talent at the top that bothers me), but he thinks “Flacco’s excellence can offset that.” LINK
Ravens React to Tyrod Taylor Winning Bills’ Starting Job
Ryan Mink of Baltimore Ravens media helps to gauge the reaction from former and current Ravens to Tyrod Taylor winning the starting quarterback job in Buffalo. It’s safe to say that they are all happy for him. John Harbaugh, Joe Flacco, Justin Forsett, and Torrey Smith are the most notable names who react to the news. LINK
Does LB Brown figure into Ravens’ plans for 2015?
Perhaps even a bigger disappointment from the 2013 draft than Matt Elam has been Arthur Brown. The second-round pick found himself routinely on the inactives list last season, and this year he has often found himself playing with guys unlikely to make the team. John Harbaugh said that Brown is good enough to make the team, but will he? Clifton Brown of CSN Baltimore has the full story. LINK
Report: Ravens showed interest in Fred Jackson
Hearing that besides #Seahawks, #Ravens also showed interest in Fred Jackson. Nothing from #Cowboys, #Browns or #Patriots.
— Vic Carucci (@viccarucci) September 1, 2015
While I initially thought that Fred Jackson would be a good signing for the Ravens, I would have liked it less the more I think about it. He is the oldest running back in the NFL, and he didn’t have exactly the most productive season last year. On average per rush, the 34-year-old running back added -.07 points per rush per numberFire’s metrics.
Former Steeler Ryan Clark says Pittsburgh will miss the playoffs
This should put a smile on your face. Former Steelers safety Ryan Clark thinks the Steelers will miss the playoffs. Who does he think will win the AFC North, you ask? Of course, it’s your Baltimore Ravens.
