Flacco’s New Nickname – Bazooka Joe
The infamous PFT Commenter has given Joe Flacco a new nickname – Bazooka Joe.
@sgellison @TeamFlacco new nickname:bazooka joe

Of course, the new nickname is in response to his elite bubble-blowing skills.
Obviously, the name also fits because he has a freaking cannon for an arm. I like it.
Could Steve Smith’s Fiery Personality Be Bad for the Ravens?
Ashley Anderson of Purple Reign Show brings up an interesting question – can Steve Smith get too headstrong sometimes? The reason she asks is the offensive drop-off that the Ravens experienced once Smith left the game against the Redskins. Once Smith was ejected, the offense really struggled. Ashley doesn’t want to see that happen again. LINK
Baltimore Ravens Face Tough Choices at Backup Quarterback
Curt Popejoy of Bleacher Report seems to think that the decision for a back-up quarterback is a tough one. While I can understand the tendency to root for the underdog, Bryn Renner, there is no way that the Ravens will be keeping Renner anywhere but the practice squad, if he can make it back there. To keep another team from snatching him off waivers before he makes it to free agency where the Ravens could place him on the practice squad, Popejoy thinks that the Ravens should keep three quarterbacks. I’d be willing to bet a ton of money that isn’t happening. The Ravens haven’t carried three quarterbacks on their active roster since 2009. LINK
Broncos’ T.J. Ward on 1-game suspension: ‘I feel it’s really unfair’
Broncos safety, T.J. Ward will be suspended for the opener against the Ravens. It’s a pretty big loss for a team that lacks quality safety depth. Back in May 2014, Ward allegedly threw a bottle at a waitress at a Denver strip club. There was little evidence of the alleged crime, and Ward did just four hours of community service to get the prosecution to drop the charges. Regardless of your take on the incident, the suspension will help the Ravens’ passing attack. LINK
Asa Jackson can’t rest easy about making Ravens’ final roster
Clifton Brown of CSN Baltimore thinks that Asa Jackson should be nervous regarding his prospect of making the Ravens’ final roster. He hasn’t exactly had the best preseason. He has shown very unreliable hands in the area where he would most likely make the team – at returner. All Jackson can do now is cross his fingers and hope he makes it. I’d doubt it. LINK
