Fans are calling for the Ravens to fire Dean Pees. The national media is no longer on the Ravens’ nearly empty bandwagon. This season has been weird for the NFL. Yesterday’s loss was the final nail in the coffin. The Ravens would have the 3rd overall pick if the season ended today.
Ravens Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees should be on the first flight out of Baltimore
It is scapegoat Monday, and Nathan Beaucage’s scapegoat today is Dean Pees. He thinks that he should be on the first flight out of Baltimore. Nathan thinks that Pees has single-handedly lost the Ravens three games this year. While that may be a bit of a stretch considering the players should hold a lot of the responsibility, it’s hard to argue the sentiment. This season, the Ravens have allowed the most points through the first 5 weeks in franchise history.
National media jumping off Ravens’ bandwagon
Clifton Brown of CSN Mid-Atlantic discusses how the national media has jumped off the Ravens’ bandwagon. Noted Steelers fan and very ill-informed analyst, Dave Damashek said, “they are so obsessed with beating Pittsburgh that it gets in the way of their following games…They struggle, and so they did here and now their season is over.” What a ridiculous comment. Still, the national media isn’t very high on the Ravens anymore. I don’t blame them.

So this is an official domain name now. The content of the site is a bit lacking. They include Gary Barnidge’s touchdown catch where he caught the ball in between his legs. I’m all for the firing of Pees, but I don’t understand what that play has to do with the defensive coordinator.
Old Arms, Boos and Ohio QBs: It’s Getting Weird in the NFL
That it is, Peter King. In this MMQB article, King looks into more detail at the quarterback situation in Cleveland. Maybe it will help ease the pain of yesterday’s loss to the Browns knowing that Josh McCown is a team player who genuinely wants the starter to succeed when he’s the backup. It probably won’t, but maybe it will. King thinks that neither the Ravens’ record nor the Bengals’ record is fluky.
Loss to the Browns Is the Final Nail in the Coffin for the 2015 Ravens
Phil Gentile of Purple Reign thinks yesterday marked the end of the Ravens’ 2015 hopes. Which is very hard to argue. The Ravens are 1-4. With the way they’ve played and to whom they’ve lost, calculating their postseason chances isn’t even a meaningful exercise anymore. I need a .500 record at the very least before I can even think about it.
