Three out of the 5 top offensive players in Week 14 were Seahawks. 15 transactions you should consider as we head deeper into the playoffs. Streaming the quarterback position this week is a tough task. Tyler Lockett is a stud.
The 20 Best Offensive Players From Week 14
JJ Zachariason looks at the 20 most highly rated players in Week 14. Three out of the top 5 players were Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin, and Tyler Lockett. All, of course, are Seahawks, who, in case you’ve blocked it from your memory already, faced the Ravens this past week. Yikes.
15 Fantasy Football Transactions for Week 15
If you’re like me, then you were utterly screwed during your Week 14 bye by injuries. I had Andy Dalton, Thomas Rawls, and Greg Olsen all go down. Which means that I need to pick up someone to replace their production. Fortunately, numberFire Editor-in-Chief, JJ Zachariason’s weekly transactions column is here to help. The three best options for replacing Rawls are a combination of Brandon Bolden and James White, a combination of DuJuan Harris and Bryce Brown, or Denard Robinson.
Week 15 Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming: It’s an Alex Smith Week
If you’re like me (again), then JJ’s article didn’t give you an option at the quarterback position. Brandon Gdula of numberFire will help you solve that issue. Only T.J. Yates and Brian Hoyer are available in my league, but the three other players he mentions are much better options. If Ryan Fitzpatrick is available in your league, go for it without hesitating. At this point in the season, most Ravens fans probably don’t feel too bad about being objective with their fantasy teams and realizing that a QB start against the Ravens is a plus one for your fantasy team. Picking up Alex Smith is a good option for those of us who have come to that realization.
Jay Cutler comes up short again
This isn’t exactly a fair headline from FantasyPros when they’re talking about a quarterback who put up 19.1 points this week and put his team in position to win the game. Anyway, while he may not have a good matchup this week, Jay Cutler is my best option at quarterback. He is a much better start than Yates, even against a good Vikings defense. He scored a respectable 19.5 points earlier in the year against Minnesota.
Fantasy sizzlers and fizzlers: Tyler Lockett shooting upward
Besides having a fantastic first name, Tyler Lockett has had an under-the-radar rookie campaign. Accroding to numberFire’s metrics, Lockett has a ridiculously efficient 1.17 NEP per target, meaning that on average, a target to Lockett adds a point to the Seahawks’ expected points. That is good for the best in the league. With Russell Wilson bursting onto the scene lately, Lockett is a stud for fantasy purposes. Tony Holm of USA Today puts him in his sizzlers.
