One week ago today, the Ravens pulled off quite possibly the upset of the week against the Steelers. When Jets receiver, Eric Decker caught the game-winning pass in overtime, it represented a worst-case scenario for the Steelers. Now, they need some help to get into the playoff race.
As the Jets and Steelers prepare to face the Bills and Browns respectively, there are only two scenarios in which the Burghbillies make the playoffs. They are:
Steelers win, Jets lose/tie
Steelers tie, Jets lose
That is it.
Which brings up one question – which Steelers playoff-missing scenario is better?
The Jets losing, but the Steelers managing to miss out on the playoffs by losing to the Ravens’ Triple-A affiliate and the lowly Browns in back to back weeks?
OR
The Steelers win, but the Jets win, too, meaning that this depleted version of the Ravens was the reason why the Steelers missed the playoffs.
Obviously, we will all be rooting for the Jets, because it will be a cold day in hell before I trust the Browns to win ANY game, much less one against the Steelers, but it would be great to see the Steelers season come crashing down to such an inferior opponent in the final week of the season.

For me, the better scenario has to be both teams losing. That would keep me laughing throughout the entire offseason. To watch a Steelers season, which looked to have so much promise heading into Week 16 coming crashing down in such a tremendous fashion would be something that I would cherish forever.
