Baltimore Ravens OLB Elvis Dumervil has been named to the 2016 Pro Bowl Roster, the NFL announced Monday afternoon.
It marks Dumervil’s fifth overall and second-straight Pro Bowl nod. He will join LS Morgan Cox, P Sam Koch and G Marshal Yanda as the Ravens representatives who will play in this Sunday’s game.
“Whenever you are recognized by your peers, it is an honor,” Dumervil stated. “To be able to play with the best the NFL has to offer is a blessing.
“I wouldn’t be here without my teammates, and I want to thank them, my coaches, the Ravens organization and all of our great fans around the country. I hope to represent you well. I am humbled.”
A 10-year veteran, Dumervil’s 96 career sacks rank seventh among active NFL players. This past season, Dumervil started in every game for the Ravens, recording 48 tackles (29 solo), a team-high six sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
In 2014, he established a Ravens’ franchise record with a career-high-tying 17 sacks.
