From an outsider’s perspective, Bill Belichick seems like a tough coach. No one would perceive him to be a player’s coach, unless you’re only looking at his interactions with Tom Brady. Despite that, he is undoubtedly one of the best coaches in the league, and the franchise for which he works has been the NFL’s most successful of the past two decades.
That, however, doesn’t mean that his players like him.
In response to a tweet suggesting that he join the New England Patriots, DeAngelo Williams tweeted that only Brady likes Belichick.
From what I'm told only tom Brady likes the head coach so no thank u I'm happy where I am https://t.co/WILRq6FbSu

Williams continued on a bit of a Twitter trolling spree, posting this a couple of hours later.
And the patriots are certified cheaters so we are not even but it made me feel better ? https://t.co/IjLpj6Jeag

We always appreciate any shade thrown the Patriots’ way, but it’s even better to see it coming from the Steelers’ camp, especially when it’s one of the very few Steelers I actually like.
Then he put up this.

It is clear, however, that DeAngelo does have an axe to grind when it comes to Bill Belichick and the Patriots.
10 years ago they drafted Laurence Maroney over me and I haven't liked them since! https://t.co/45eBfcX5ar

Maroney fell off the NFL map a long time ago, and DeAngelo was one of the most efficient rushers in the league last season. I bet the Patriots would pick Williams if they could go back in time.
Fortunately for DeAngelo, they can’t. Now, DeAngelo doesn’t have to play for a coach who no one likes but Brady.
