Browns Tackle Has Been a Staple in Cleveland
The Ravens have a question mark at left tackle and consequently one national insider has floated the possibility of the Browns’ Joe Thomas to Baltimore.
A couple of names that have been floated the way of the Ravens are Joe Thomas and Ryan Clady. It’s unlikely that the Browns would trade Thomas to the Ravens as CBS’ Jason LaCanfora has suggested. Why trade Thomas to a divisional rival unless the trade is clearly one-sided?
But at 32 years old, one has to question what Thomas is worth.
Thomas could very well be traded, particularly if Laremy Tunsil somehow gets past the Tennessee Titans who hold the draft’s first pick.
Another player mentioned by John Harbaugh during the Owners’ Meetings was Dwight Freeney. Once again, if the interest was genuine, would the Ravens float the name, particularly the usually tight-lipped Harbaugh? And if the Ravens were so interested in Freeney why didn’t they sign him last season instead of the quickly discarded Jason Babin?
