Cam Cameron’s Battle With Cancer

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A look inside Cam Cameron’s battle with cancer. Have Ozzie’s drafts gotten worse? A mock gives nine interesting prospects for all of the Ravens’ picks. Tunsil only has one true weakness. Spence tops a list of this draft’s edge defenders. A writer compares the 2016 NFL Draft’s running backs to Mario Kart characters.

Behind-the-scenes look at LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron’s cancer battle during 2015 fall camp

Often, we hear stories about NFL players, coaches, and executives that transcend sports. This is one of them. Ross Dellenger of The Advocate tells the story of former Ravens’ offensive coordinator Cam Cameron’s battle with cancer. In his own words, Cameron was “six months from death” and he battled through it. During that time, he was still coaching practice. Sometimes, that required him to coach from a catwalk. Other times, he even coached from his iPad.

Have Ozzie Newsome’s Drafts Gotten That Much Worse?

Sanha Ryoo of The Sports Quotient takes a look at Ozzie’s drafts recently. He doesn’t think that they’ve gotten that much worse. He places little blame on Ozzie for the decision to draft players like Sergio Kindle. He points out that too carefully considering the number of Pro Bowlers selected is a mistake and comes to the conclusion that Ozzie is still solid.

Ravens mock draft: how their nine picks could go

A 7-round mock can be an exercise in futility for an event as volatile as the NFL Draft, but Clifton Brown of CSN Mid-Atlantic lays out a few interesting options for the Ravens in the later rounds. He includes potential selections like Cyrus Jones (CB) and Charles Tapper (DE). Tapper, in particular, is an interesting prospect. He turned heads at the Combine after running a 4.59 40.

2016 Scouting Report: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss

Samuel Gold of NFL Breakdowns looks at Laremy Tunsil. He thinks that Tunsil may have some trouble against speed rushers in space, but he has the first step necessary to improve in that area if he can work on his technique. Unlike Stanley, Tunsil has tremendous upside in that area. Tunsil shows good athleticism getting to the second level, too, on the rare opportunities he was given to make it there.

NFL Draft 400: Ranking the Top Edge Defenders

Matt Miller of Bleacher Report and the unofficial leader of the draft nerd army ranks the top edge defenders. He doesn’t include players he considers defensive linemen, like Joey Bosa. He does, however, include Noah Spence, who ranks at the top of his list. If that’s true, then the Ravens have might have a chance at the best edge defender in the class at the top of the second round. That would be a huge boon for Baltimore.

Comparing The Top Running Backs to Mario Kart Characters

Marcus Mosher of Footbology gives the running back overview you didn’t know that you needed for this year’s draft class. At the top, he compares Ezekiel Elliott to Mario. He was the character everyone wanted (unless you’re my age and played the N64 version of the game when everyone wanted to be Yoshi). He does everything well and has no weaknesses in his game. For the rest of the crop, you’ll just have to read for yourself. My personal favorite is the comparison for Derrick Henry.
