Just eight more days, folks.
Eight more days until the Ravens pick the highest they’ve picked since selecting Jamal Lewis 5th overall in 2000 (and their 4th-highest selection in team history).
That is, of course, unless they make a trade. The more I think about it, the more I think the Ravens will trade back into the teens to select a player like Vernon Hargreaves, Darron Lee, Noah Spence, or even Reggie Ragland. Doing so would afford them at least one extra pick (likely two or three) and a comparable player to the one they’d select at No. 6.
Speaking of how players rank against each other, I decided to revise my 2016 Big Board. This time, I’ll rank my Top 50 players in the draft based on how I perceive their overall talent compares to others. If I feel like two players are equal, the tiebreaker will be the importance of their position at the next level.
Once again, this is not a mock draft of the top 50 picks. This is a list of my Top 50 players of the 2016 NFL Draft.
