Comforting Those in Need
A little over 6 years ago a dear friend who was a beautiful, selfless soul, left us far too soon.
Before her passing and during her days of struggle, she gave comfort to another cancer patient with the gift of a blanket. The gesture was heartfelt and it soothed the recipient, and knowing Janine Tolley, I’m sure the gift of giving brought a degree of solace to her as well, quietly comforting her in her own personal struggle.
In Janine’s memory, her family and closest friends have championed Blankets for Warriors, an ongoing project to provide blankets of comfort to chemotherapy patients of Mercy Medical Center. I hope that you can join us tonight at Liberatore’s Perry Hall from 6-9 PM to celebrate Janine, her courage and the spirit that inspired others to help those suffering from cancer.
A DJ will be on hand to add to the celebratory spirit of the evening and proceeds will help Blankets For Warriors to provide more blankets and subsequently more smiles and comfort to those battling cancer.
Clearly this is a win-win.
