The Ravens lost their third in a row, 27-23 to the New York Giants. RSR staff react to the loss…

You can’t win a game with an inactive list full of Pro Bowl players (and more starters getting injured during the course of the game). You can’t win a game with over 100 yards in penalties.
And yet…the Ravens were again in a position to win at the end of the game. And the officials seemed to keep trying to help them do so.
If only they’d had those three points that John Harbaugh YET AGAIN eschewed in favor of going for it on fourth down. Will he ever learn?
And Marty Mornhinweg. Again…25 rush attempts, 48 passes. Despite Terrance West moving the ball every time he touched it, the passing game looking UGLY for most of the afternoon, and the Ravens never being more than one score down (and at one point even being up by 10)? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

Too many injuries and too many penalties cost the Ravens this game. But how many weeks in a row can we have the same conversation about John Harbaugh’s stubbornness costing the Ravens points and them ultimately paying the price for it?
Good coaches put their team in the best position to win the game. John Harbaugh in three consecutive weeks has been one of the biggest reasons the Ravens have lost. People can continue to defend him but it’s time to stop talking about what he did prior to 2014.
The Ravens will be driving at the end of this game. A FG would win it but that won't be an option because of Harbaugh. @RussellStReport

I hate that I care so much. I’ve been clinching my jaw and fists for the last 3 hours and now much of my Sunday evening is ruined.
Ravens penalties? Unacceptable!
Ravens injuries? Time for Ozzie to find the team some help… and not just bodies off the street. Make a trade or something. Get this team some defensive help. I bet Suggs is out for numerous weeks with a Bicep injury.
Mornhinweg? He was better than Trestman’s calls this season, but there was still a lot of questions regarding the play calling… especially on 4th and Goal.
Flacco? I am really questioning him all around. Bad passes. Bad decisions. Back-foot passes. Elite? Most definitely not.
Harbaugh? His “aggressive” approach has cost the Ravens their last two games and possibly three. Make a call that doesn’t work once? Fine. But learn from it. Make it again and again? It’s just being stubborn. Take the points and you are in first place in the AFC North and the #2 seed in the AFC right now. I love the way Harbaugh leads this team, but in-game coaching is costing the team games.
3-3 through the part of the schedule that is their easiest is NOT good. But, if you want to be optimistic (which I am not right now), if a few plays go the other way, this team is 5-1 or 6-0.

Welp… here we are again folks. Penalties (more today than Weeks 1-3 COMBINED), injuries (lots of them), and poor coaching decisions (TAKE THE POINTS) leading to disaster, heartbreak and ultimately Crying Jordan memes.
What an utter shame… again. They should have won… again. So angry at the coaching staff… again. And stupid penalties… again.
The silver lining: 2 more weeks from now we CAN’T beat ourselves!!! WOOOO!!!!

Stop me if you’ve heard this before
Same old song and dance regarding the offense and penalties. Injuries are mounting as the Ravens lost Jimmy Smith and Terrell Suggs for who knows how long. The lack of urgency at the end of the game was mind-blowing.
I feel like a broken record saying it every week but John Harbaugh’s seat needs to get warmer after another questionable decision not to take the points.
You are what your record says you are and the Ravens are fortunate to be 3-3.
We’ll have more Knee-Jerk Reactions as they roll in…
