On November 22, 2015 the Ravens hosted the then St. Louis Rams, defeating the visitors by the score of 16-13. But the Ravens were the real losers in the game.

Late in the fourth quarter, tackle James Hurst was knocked into Joe Flacco’s left knee, tearing the quarterback’s ACL and MCL.

Fast forward to a little over a year later.

The Ravens hosted the Miami Dolphins and on the Ravens second possession they faced a 3rd and 15 from their own 32. Flacco dropped back to throw and found Dennis Pitta just inside the hash marks 14 yards down field and just short of the first down. The Ravens would convert the fourth and 1 but the real drama…or should I say near drama, took place as Flacco release his pass to Pitta.

Just like his teammate on that fateful day last November, rookie tackle Ronnie Stanley was blown up. Dolphins DE Andre Branch steamrolled Stanley and sent him tumbling into Flacco’s legs. Fortunately for the Ravens the results weren’t disastrous.

This (below) is a close call!
