BUY / SELL / STEAL FOR WEEK 7
Emptying out the notebook:
— The Ezekiel Elliott saga continues. Zeke has been granted a temporary stay and will be allowed to play the next two weeks. Even with that being the case, it is still far from over. Darren McFadden and/or Alfred Morris should be owned if you have Elliott.
— Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) could be out for the rest of the season; Golden Tate (shoulder) will miss “multiple weeks”; Jameis Winston (AC joint) status in unknown for Week 7; Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) is already ruled out for the week; Tyler Eifert (back) was placed on IR.
— Waiver wire pick-ups for the week: Orleans Darkwa (RB/NYG), Dion Lewis (RB/NE), Marvin Jones (WR/Det), Josh Doctson (WR/Was), Taylor Gabriel (WR/Atl), Kenny Golladay (WR/Det).
— If you need a roster spot you can move on from the following: Mike Gillislee, Tarik Cohen, Sammy Watkins, O.J. Howard, and Jamison Crowder.
— Brett Hundley and C.J. Beathard are not worth a pick-up yet, in my opinion.
— Teams on a bye: Detroit and Houston
— Kansas City at Oakland kicks us off on Thursday night.
— Arizona and the Rams square off in London at 1pm.
— Washington at Philadelphia finishes off the week on Monday night.
Ravens Fantasy Outlook
Alex Collins and Buck Allen are the only Ravens who are worth a start in the fantasy world. When the Ravens commit to the run, these two are viable fantasy assets as the passing game is just not working. This is a tough game on the road against a formidable defense, so these two are really only worth playing in DFS as a cheap option.
Buy
QB: Dak Prescott: Prescott gets a San Fran defense has allowed 290+ passing yards in four straight games.
Carson Wentz: Wentz has thrown three or more TD’s in back to back games and will make it three in a row against the Redskins.
Other names: Cam Newton, Marcus Mariota, Drew Brees, Carson Palmer, Philip Rivers, Tom Brady, Kirk Cousins
RB: Adrian Peterson: Coming off a 134-yard performance last week, Peterson takes on a Rams defense that has allowed eight rushing TD and 139 rushing yards a game.
Chris Thompson: Thompson is the Redskins leading rusher and receiver. He has amassed 100+ total yards in three of the past four games.
Other names: Kareem Hunt, LeSean McCoy, Jordan Howard, Mark Ingram, Alvin Kamara, Leonard Fournette, Todd Gurley, Le’Veon Bell, Melvin Gordon, Devonta Freeman, James White, Carlos Hyde
WR: Michael Crabtree: Amari Cooper is the most talked about Raiders receiver, but it should be Crabtree. Crabtree has scored 14 or more points in four games this year.
Chris Hogan: Hogan is the forgotten weapon in the Pats offense but he has four games this year of 60+ receiving yards and a TD.
Other names: Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans, Kelvin Benjamin, Rishard Matthews, Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Thomas, Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs (if healthy), Dez Bryant, A.J. Green, Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Brandin Cooks, Julio Jones
TE: Austin Seferian-Jenkins: ASJ has averaged 12 points a game and is the best red zone weapon the Jets have.
Travis Kelce: Kelce, who leads the Chiefs in targets, will see another high volume game against the Raiders, who have allowed double digit points to TE’s in four games this year.
Other names:, Cameron Brate, Delanie Walker, Evan Engram, Rob Gronkowski, Zach Ertz, Jason Witten
Def: Tennessee, Jacksonville, N.Y. Jets, Minnesota, Dallas
Sell
QB: Matt Ryan: Ryan has been a huge disappointed in fantasy this year! He has only one game of multiple TD passes and has a 1:1 TD/INT ratio.
Andy Dalton: The Steelers have held every QB under 250 yards and allowed an average of 131 yards passing yards at home. No QB has thrown more than one TD pass against their defense.
Other names: Eli Manning, Jacoby Brissett, Jared Goff, Jay Cutler
RB: Seattle RB’s: Pick one! Lacy, McKissic, and Rawls have combined for 37 points on the year. 23 of those points came in one game. With a line as bad as Seattle’s, none of them are fantasy relevant.
Doug Martin: Buffalo is allowing 88 rushing yards a game while yielding just four rushing TD’s.
Other names: Marshawn Lynch, DeMarco Murray, Frank Gore, Jay Ajayi, C.J. Anderson
WR: Demaryius Thomas: With Sanders already ruled out, the Chargers will be able to double team Thomas and effectively limit his productivity.
Doug Baldwin: Over the past two games, Baldwin has totaled seven receptions for 72 yards and no TD. He is a victim of an offense that just can’t get it going and it won’t start this week on the road against the Giants.
Other names: Amari Cooper, Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams, T.Y. Hilton, Jarvis Landry, Martavis Bryant
TE: Jordan Reed: Reed has yet to crack double digits this year and has been out produced by fellow TE Vernon Davis.
Ed Dickson: If you take away Dickson’s five-catch, 175-yard game in week four, he has averaged a mere four points a game.
Other names: Martellus Bennett, Jack Doyle, Jimmy Graham, Jesse James, Hunter Henry
Def: Green Bay, Arizona, LA Rams, Denver, Atlanta, Washington, Baltimore
Steals
QB: Tyrod Taylor: QB’s are feasting on the Bucs defense. QBs have produced three games of 300+ passing yards and two games of three TD passes.
RB: Jerick McKinnon: Since taking over as the starter, McKinnon has 245 total yards and three TD’s.
WR: Robert Woods: Woods has produced double digit scoring in three of the past four games. He faces a Cards defense that maybe without Patrick Peterson.
TE: Austin Hooper: New England has allowed opposing TEs to score 17 or more points in three of the past four games.
Def: New Orleans
