The Baltimore Ravens Saturday activated RB Danny Woodhead from Injured Reserve – Designated for Return and waived TE Gavin Escobar.
Woodhead returns from a hamstring injury he sustained on the opening drive of Baltimore’s Week 1 win at Cincinnati. On that drive, he recorded three catches for 33 yards (with each earning first downs) and one carry for four yards.
Woodhead has compiled 4,717 yards from scrimmage in his nine-year NFL career, including 2,186 rushing yards (on 504 attempts) and 2,531 receiving yards (on 270 receptions).
Since he entered the NFL in 2009, Woodhead is one of four players (Jamaal Charles, Matt Forte and Darren Sproles) to produce at least 15 rushing touchdowns and 15 receiving touchdowns. (He has 15 rushing and 17 receiving scores in his career.)
