First, let’s consider John Harbaugh. Harbaugh is coaching for his future in Baltimore. He is coaching for the professional futures of his assistants. A trip to the playoffs in 2018 would secure their collective future in 2019 and at (4-4) that remains a possibility. Would they really want to get rid of Suggs, Yanda, Williams or Smith?
Does that improve their team, particularly when they still control their destiny?
Of course not!
As for Williams and Smith, given their below average level of play in 2018, what team would be able to afford and willingly absorb the $9.25M and $9.0M prorated base salaries? What team would want to? Not only that, trading Williams would push $14M of dead money on to the books in 2019, a year during which the Ravens finally may enjoy some cap space to do a little roster augmentation via free agency.

You won’t sound so misinformed.
You know, like those Tweets about the Orioles.
