It is Wednesday and it’s lunch time my dudes… and that means the week is halfway over and Baltimore Ravens football is just a few short days away! But before we get to our beloved Sunday, however, we gotta see what’s going on with Ravens Twitter and the news!

With this edition of Out to Lunch…

Let’s start with some good old fashioned serotonin…

We have all seen that AMAZING 66-yard field goal by Justin Tucker by now and if you haven’t then honestly, shame on you. What are you doing here? This little clip made by the media group over at Ravens.com is just amazing. Take 58 seconds out of your day and enjoy this edit of “the kick”!

MILE HIGH

It’s Broncos week… and what better way to celebrate Ravens vs. Broncos week than with the greatest play in the history of the Baltimore Ravens franchise: The Mile High Miracle.

Our friend Kevin Oestreicher tweeted out the historic play for your convenience to watch right here:

This play was one of those where you remember exactly where you were when it happened… I was 16-years old and working at a pizza restaurant and my coworkers would go out and give me updates whenever something would happen. When that play happened I looked my coworkers in their eyes and swore to them that we were winning it all. Spoiler alert, I was right!

What an amazing, amazing play…

Ngata Thing

While we’re a little ways away from the Indianapolis Traitors—err, rather the Colts, coming to Baltimore for Monday Night Football, it should be noted that long-time Ravens defensive tackle and Pro Football Hall of Fame hopeful Haloti Ngata will be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor during halftime of that game:

I just know the Bank is going to go nuts for such a beloved player and one of the greatest nose tackles to ever play the game.

Haters Gonna Hate

Don’t let the media lead you to believe that Lamar Jackson hasn’t been good in 2021… don’t just take my word for it, feast your eyes upon this:

For what it’s worth, Jackson has yet to throw for fewer than 235-yards this season and is currently fourth in the league in rushing yards while averaging a ridiculous 7.2 YPC. Last I checked, those are some MVP caliber numbers. Jackson is right in the thick of it for the prestigious award whether many in the media wants to acknowledge it or not.

Think Ink

In case you missed it, one die hard Ravens fan has decided that he’s going to get a tattoo on his leg for each win the team gets in 2021. Nic Cullison, a 26-year old Maryland native, started the project with the final score of the Ravens vs. Chiefs game, 36-35. He added on to it this past weekend following Tucker’s game-winning field goal. Now, it’s his mission to get that Lombardi Trophy at the end of the year.

ESPN’s Jamison Hensley has the full story here…

I hope you’re made of money, Nic, because getting 17 more tattoos will not be cheap!

Gritty Resolve

Ryan Mink of the Baltimore Ravens’ official website shared some of his thoughts on the team here:

My biggest takeaway was this: This Baltimore Ravens team has some grit and determination to exceed everyone’s low expectations.

As Mink stated: “… But some of those unquantifiable attributes can make up for real-life deficiencies. They carry real weight. There will still surely be more kicks to the shin this season for the Ravens, but with every Band-Aid applied, it seems this team just gets a little tougher.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself, Ryan. These Ravens just have some kind of chip on their shoulders and are out to prove everybody wrong. And I like it.

That a Royal Farms Wrap!

Let’s end off with this:

This is so awesome to see for a variety of reasons. Let’s break it down…

1. Seeing Bozeman step up as the team’s anchor of the line has been an underrated storyline of the season so far. Bozeman is playing excellently and he’s in line for a fat pay raise this offseason

2. The only thing missing from Campbell’s 2021 resume is sacks, but he’s been an immovable object and a run stuffing machine

3. This past Sunday notwithstanding, Hollywood has looked like the player Baltimore believed it was drafting in the first round back in 2019 through three games this year. Brown is on a tear over the last nine regular season games dating back to 2020, with eight touchdowns over that span. The sky isn’t falling after one bad week, and Brown looks like he’s finally come into his own. Maybe it’s the single-digit jersey…

4. Jackson, as we mentioned, has been excellent this year. Anyone who’s watched him knows this and there will be dozens and dozens of forthcoming highlights for the remainder of the season.

5. Oweh looks like he’s already light years ahead of where we would have pegged him to be as a very raw rookie. If he hasn’t reached his full potential yet, and there’s plenty of reason to believe he hasn’t, we could be in store for something insane…

Thanks for going Out to Lunch with me today, Ravens Flock!

I hope you enjoy all the good tidings I had to bring for you all today. Happy hump day!
