Happy Monday, #RavensFlock! It’s yet another “Victory” Monday thanks to our heroes in purple and black, who racked up their fifth consecutive victory after the disappointing start to the 2021 season in Las Vegas. Stomping a mudhole in the Los Angeles Chargers – a team that came in 4-1 in their own right and looking to stake a claim in the AFC – isn’t something many (any?) of us expected, but it’s what we got.
Let’s see what everyone is saying about the good guys today.
Another week, another record for number 8. Ho hum.
Lamar Jackson, who turns 25 years old in January, earned his 35th-career win as a starting quarterback today and surpassed Dan Marino (34) for the most wins by a quarterback prior to his 25th birthday in NFL history.

Lamar Jackson. Not bad!
Brian Baldinger, whose “Baldy’s Breakdowns” are always fun, slowed down the film on a few plays from the game yesterday.
@ravens @Lj_era8 #MVP Can anyone @chargers or others lay a hand on #Lamar. It’s not supposed to be this easy #ravensflock #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/5GgXke4wmD

As for Los Angeles, they’re going to want to burn the film. Or perhaps just forget yesterday altogether?

That’s a good tweet. Kudos, LAC social media team.
Latavius Murray, Le’Veon Bell, AND Devonta Freeman all scored touchdowns yesterday, leading to this idea from Bill Barnwell.
The Ravens should bring a different running back back from the past every week so they can score one final TD. Get Rudi Johnson a score. It’s Dominic Rhodes time. You can’t stop Marcel Shipp. etc etc

I vote for Kenneth Dixon and Musa Smith, myself. Let’s keep these TDs in the family.
Rookie WR Rashod Bateman made his much anticipated debut on Sunday, as Sammy Watkins sat with a hamstring injury. Bateman saw the field plenty.
Rough draft of #Ravens snaps on offense (trialing a different layout)
Story of the day has to be Bateman. He saw plenty of action, nearly matching Hollywood's snap count.

He also made several catches, moving the sticks for his team each time!

But since he’s a Ravens first-round WR, he also has to turn well-thrown balls into interceptions as a rite of passage. Breshad Bateman anyone?

I’m kidding, he’ll be fine! I just couldn’t help myself.
We round out today with a nod to not just John Harbaugh, whom this tweet singles out…
Most players on injured reserve:
Ravens – 16 (5-1 W-L)
Lions – 14 (0-6 W-L)John Harbaugh is a good football coach.

…but to the entire Ravens organization. The above stat is a testament to Eric DeCosta, and every single scout, trainer, coach, and player personnel staff member who reports to work at 1 Winning Drive. The Ravens are robust and built to withstand the trials and tribulations that come with every NFL season. We’re very fortunate, Flock. Enjoy another one!
