Happy Monday, #RavensFlock. While it isn’t quite a Victory Monday, we’ve had a few days to get that nasty Miami taste out of our mouths, and the weekend actually ended up going pretty well for us after all.
Let’s catch up.
We’ll start with a few tweets that show Lamar Jackson’s busy weekend. He wasn’t making NFL defenses look silly as per usual, but he was joining Baltimore legend Johnny Unitas as the only players to have their jersey numbers retired at the University of Louisville. Pretty damn poetic, eh?

Check out this video from UL, featuring a star-studded lineup congratulating Lamar.

And Lamar’s halftime speech…

Pretty special stuff there.
Back to the NFL, we were dreading the Ravens’ rivals in the AFC North gaining on them while we sat and watched helplessly, but that’s not exactly what happened on Sunday afternoon.
The Browns went to Foxboro and got straight up pasted, 45-7.
Gone Hunting.

While the Steelers, without Fat Ben, who had a positive COVID-19 test late in the week, kissed their sisters at home against the winless Lions, in what may have been one of the ugliest football games ever played.
With a chance to win it in OT, Lions kicker Ryan Santoso did….this?

Then a few minutes later, it looked as though Pittsburgh was going to pull another in a long line of rabbits out of their hat, getting to the edge of FG territory as time ticked down. It wasn’t to be, however!

You hate to see it!
The NFL is goofy. Don’t believe me?
Over the last three weeks…
1-5 Jets beat the 5-2 Bengals
1-6 Jaguars beat the 5-2 Bills
2-6 Giants beat the 5-2 Raiders
2-7 Dolphins beat the 6-2 Ravens
2-6 Washington beat the 6-2 Bucs

And that was before the tie we just talked about. Hopefully this makes us all feel better about that egg the Ravens laid in South Florida the other day. All that matters is who gets in, and who is playing their best once January rolls around.
Unfortunately the Tennessee Titans managed to squeak by and avoid the upset bug hosting the New Orleans Saints, but old friend Mark Ingram did his part to try to help the Ravens out.
Look at the details. @markingramII

Ingram became the Saints career rushing yards leader yesterday. Congrats, Mark!

While the Ravens have a mini-bye to prepare for their tilt against the Chicago Bears in Week 11, the Bears had their bye in Week 10, so both teams should be very rested. Hopefully you’re all recharged and ready to go again as well, Flockers.
Have a great week!
