It is Wednesday, folks! You know what that means… that’s right! It’s once again time to go out with me, Richie Bradshaw, into the Twitter-sphere to see what’s going on with Ravens Flock!
There is quite a bit to talk about this week, with some news breaking yesterday and lots of rumors circling the Baltimore Ravens in a good way. Let’s not waste any more time now and hop right into a Wednesday edition of Out to Lunch!
The biggest Baltimore Ravens news of the week broke yesterday as the team announced it was extending head coach John Harbaugh for another three years:

Harbaugh is not without his critics, but the man is a Super Bowl winning head coach, a winner of the Coach of the Year award, and is the all-time winningest head coach in the history of the Baltimore Ravens. I for one am happy to see Harbs is here for at a minimum the next three years. Harbaugh is trending towards the Hall of Fame, and the Ravens are wise to keep him around longer.
Lamar Jackson was certainly happy about Harbaugh being extended. In fact, he’d love to see his head coach throw some cheddar cheese his way!

Never change, Lamar!
An ode to Baltimore. Yesterday, March 29, 2022, the Baltimore Ravens celebrated their 26th anniversary as a team.

You see, football has always been a very important part of the city of Baltimore. Dating back to the late 1940s, Baltimore embraced its original team, the Baltimore Colts, before watching Robert Irsay pack up the team and leave seemingly in the middle of the night for Indianapolis, taking with him all the history of its franchise and leaving the proud city of Baltimore, Maryland without a football team for 12-years. Then, the great Art Modell relocated the Cleveland Browns to Baltimore. Unlike Irsay, Modell left the history of the Browns in Cleveland and instead decided to start fresh and let Baltimore’s new team create its own, unique history. That team is our beloved Baltimore Ravens, and we couldn’t be more proud of this franchise and its history.
From the bottom of our football loving hearts, thank you Mr. Art Modell. You gave us the best football team in the whole wide world, and we don’t care what anyone (especially the state of Ohio) thinks about you!
An update on the Bobby Wagner pursuit:
I'm told that Bobby Wagner and the #Ravens are "still talking," per league source. That's definitely positive, yet still fluid.

It’s absolutely wonderful to see how hard of a push the Ravens are making to bring in Wagner, a future Hall of Famer. The dude would fit in perfectly with the culture the Ravens have built over the years and would instantly take this defense from a good unit on paper to a great unit. Wagner is that big of an upgrade. Here’s hoping that a deal gets done before the end of the week!
An now an update on the Lamar Jackson extension talks:
Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti on Lamar Jackson's lack of urgency to negotiate an extension: "It’s unique
as hell … The kid is so obsessed with winning a Super Bowl, that I think deep down, he doesn’t think he’s worthy. I think he wants that to say, ‘Now, I deserve to be on top'"— Jamison Hensley (@jamisonhensley) March 29, 2022
I’m not sure I would go as far as to say that Jackson doesn’t believe he is “worthy,” however I absolutely agree that his number one priority is to win a ring this year. Jackson would have tons of leverage to get his bag and then some for winning a championship, but it’s awesome to see that the fifth-year quarterback’s top priority is to get a ring.
It may not be what the fans like to hear since we all want him extended now, but you have to respect the angle that he appears to be coming from. And to those who think he is keeping his options open to leave Charm City, Lamar has this to say:
I love my Ravens I don’t know who the hell putting that false narrative out that I’m having thoughts about leaving stop tryna read my mind🙄

We all know how bad injuries hit Baltimore in 2021, but this graphic is absolutely disgusting:
Same graph but with total projected games lost to injury on Y-Axis. Ravens lost around 2.86 games due to injuries, 2nd most in WAIL history behind the 2018 49ers pic.twitter.com/BqZwTx1ZvA

I’ve never been a huge fan of the WAR stat, but this is unreal. The Ravens absolutely were decimated by injuries, but to see just how badly it affected them on paper is crazy. And yes, this is a good excuse for us. Just saying…
Some updated betting odds for the Baltimore Ravens to win the AFC North in 2022:

The Ravens are somehow being slept on, again. The league will be given a rude awakening once the team gets back to 100% and on to the field. Baltimore should be a nice favorite to win the division and it’s nice to see the odds makers agree.
Before we end, I hope you understand the joke that is being made here…
Tweet the Ravens winning a super bowl right quick.. I’m trying to see something https://t.co/nSISI99DnH

If for some crazy reason you don’t understand the reference, go back and watch the biggest moment from the 2022 Oscars. Marlon Humphrey is (clearly) a man of science and is interested if the creator of the quoted tweet is able to correctly predict the future again. We’re certainly hoping he obliges and we get to celebrate a championship this year!
That’s all for this one, folks! Have a great rest of your week! Go Ravens!
