Saying it’s a big week in Baltimore would be the understatement of the century. The 2-1 Buffalo Bills come to town this Sunday, and after missing out on their slice of revenge against the Miami Dolphins a couple weeks back, you know the Ravens are just dying to scratch that itch against Josh Allen and co. We all remember that bitter cold January night in Buffalo at the beginning of 2021 all too well, now it’s up to the purple birds to deliver a haymaker of their own to the preseason Super Bowl favorite.

Before we get there, let’s dive into the last minute news and notes. First, perhaps the most awesome hype video the Ravens production team has ever created! If this doesn’t get you hyped for Sunday you might not have a soul.

Lamar Jackson was voted the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September, after three games of utter dominance leading up to this Sunday. As of now there’s no better bet to make on this year’s MVP than LJ, so get your tickets in now before those odds drop even further (responsibly of course)!

On a less positive note, Michael Pierce will indeed opt for surgery on his torn bicep, effectively ending his 2022 season. It’s a real shame, as Pierce’s presence was a major benefit to this defense both on the field and as a mentor to players like Travis Jones. Hopefully he can come back next year strong as ever, and in the meantime it’ll be up to players like Broderick Washington and Isaiah Mack to help shoulder the load. Get well soon big man.

The Ravens are pulling out all the stops against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, including the return of the ever popular (and successful) color rush uniforms. The only time the Ravens ever lost in these uniforms was last year against the Packers with Tyler Huntley at quarterback. Their average margin of victory in those games also happens to hover around 30 points! While that may be expecting a little much come Sunday, a victory is all we need.

Kyle Hamilton is already bringing some positivity into the Baltimore community, by offering $1,000 for every Ravens interception this season towards numerous school aiding programs. A sense of kinship with the hard working local folks who keep Baltimore running every day has always been such an important part of this organization, and it’s awesome to see Hamilton already following suit. Here’s to hoping for a record breaking season for the Ravens secondary, if anyone deserves it, it’s the students and teachers!

Well end today with the Ravens photo of the week, while also wishing a very happy birthday to a Baltimore legend! It’s safe to say that anyone reading this knows of OJ’s importance to this franchise, which is only overshadowed by the importance of the work he does outside of football via the OJ Brigance foundation (aiding in the fight against ALS). It’s clear by the outpouring of love on Twitter that there’s no shortage of appreciation for OJ out there, and every ounce of it is well earned. With that said, nothing would put a bow on OJ’s birthday week quite like a win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday!
