Happy Purple Friday, Flock. Pinch-hitting for Ron today, and when I’m in charge of Out to Lunch, you can rest assured you’re likely getting some Ed Reed content, so let’s just lead off with it. He could do it all on the field during his career, and now that he’s retired, he can also meme!

One GOAT paying homage to another, you love to see it. Justin Tucker, of course, had a big hand…er, leg…in getting Reed his first and only Super Bowl ring, with those clutch kicks during his rookie season when the Ravens won their most recent Lombardi. The biggest of said kicks was in overtime in Denver, a period – along with the fourth quarter – during which Tucker has been not only great, but the best in history.
After last night’s win, Justin Tucker has now made *61 consecutive* field goals in the 4th quarter or overtime, which includes 27 from 40+ yards.
He’s also now 18-for-18 in his career on field goals within the final minute of regulation or overtime. Never missed.

Congrats on the latest slot in the record book, JT! Here’s to many more to come.
Speaking of things to come, many Ravens fans have their eye on a potential addition at the WR spot.
#RavensFlock wants EDC to add a little Moore at WR, but is it realistic? @RSRLombardi on that, Stone, not Hamilton, being the next man up at safety, & more. https://t.co/tKzPNN27DC

Could D.J. Moore be coming home? The former Maryland Terrapin is stuck in Carolina, where head coach Matt Rhule was fired earlier this week.
But what about the salary cap? As our guru Brian McFarland explains, the issue wouldn’t be for this season, but for the rest of Moore’s contract, which is signed for several more years.
Obtaining Moore for this year is easily doable. The Ravens would only have to pay x/18ths of his $1.035M base salary depending on when a trade happened. Moore has 3 yrs after this yr on his deal, which they would probably restructure to reduce what would be a $20M Cap # in 2023.

With Rashod Bateman still not back on the practice field this week, his status going forward could heavily influence how aggressively DeCosta does, or doesn’t, pursue a trade for Moore. If we hear rumors of EDC trying to work something out here soon, it may mean that Bateman’s injury is a bit more serious than they’ve let on so far. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on things here at RSR and let you know anything we hear ASAP.
Moving back to things that are certain to happen, the Ravens take on the G-Men in Jersey on Sunday. They’ll be wearing a uniform combo that…hasn’t been great for them since Lamar Jackson got here.
Reminder – there’s only 2 uniform combinations that Lamar Jackson is <.500 in. Black jersey/white pants (.333) and “icy 🥶” (.400). I am disgusted. pic.twitter.com/dmoNzXUMK5

Here’s to Lamar getting to 3-3 wearing the “icy” combo this weekend!
That’ll do it for me. Have yourselves a good one, Flock!
