INDIANAPOLIS — Tight ends and offensive linemen went through on-field workouts Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Here are how some potential Ravens targets fared:
North Carolina tight end likely solidified his standing as an early-to-mid first-round pick. He had an above-average time in the 40-yard dash (4.60 seconds) that was the second-fastest among tight ends. He also did a respectable 24 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press, which was tied for sixth-most among tight ends, and he had the third-best broad jump (120 inches).
Texas Tech tight end Jace Amaro, another projected first-round pick, ran the 40 in 4.74 seconds. Iowa tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz, a projected third- or fourth-round pick, ran a 4.76 40, a respectable time considering he’s 6-foot-5, 265 pounds.
Amaro and Fiedorowicz were also two of the top five tight end performers in the bench press. Amaro was tied for second with 28 reps. Fiedorowicz was fifth with 25.
Georgia tight end Arthur Lynch, who is known as a strong run blocker, also did 28 reps, but his 40 time was below average (4.82).
As far as offensive linemen, Nevada offensive lineman Joel Bitonio tested out well.
NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock said last week that Bitonio will be a player that goes in the second or third and starts immediately. And Saturday, he had the fourth-best time among offensive linemen in the 40-yard dash (4.97), had the second-best broad jump (114 inches), the third-best three cone drill time (7.37) and was also third in the 20-yard shuttle (4.44).
