A Look Back at The Ravens v. Titans

Before there was the Ravens/Steelers rivalry there was this old AFC Central, twice annual brawl between the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans.

Much like the respectful hatred the Ravens now hold and foster for the Steelers, a similar level of disdain and contempt was held for the Titans.

It was physical, it was personal and it was intense.

And the battles between the clubs were legendary.

As the chart above describes the Ravens under John Harbaugh are 0-2 during the regular season against the Titans. The last time the teams met the Ravens gave a very flat and uninspired performance during Week 2 of the 2011 season.

Joe Flacco was 15 of 32 for 197 yards with 1 TD and 2 interceptions adding up to an embarrassing 51.2 passer rating.

However John Harbaugh’s troops were able to win when it counted most against the then top-seeded Titans in the 2008 postseason.
