Joe Flacco and the rest of his teammates will receive their Super Bowl rings during a private ceremony on June 7th, a ceremony that many thought Flacco would never be a part of.

From fellow players like Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley to media “personalities” like ESPN’s Skip Bayless, Flacco possibly received more public criticism than any player who has had so much success throughout his career.

Now that Flacco has his Corvette for being named MVP and a $120 million contract, he’ll receive perhaps the most convincing reward for his efforts that will constantly remind all of his detractors just exactly what he accomplished.

The Ring!

BUT…

Just because Flacco will own a Super Bowl ring, don’t expect him to flaunt it.

“I’m probably not going to wear it around too often,” Flacco said after participating in his second OTA practice of the season. “I’m hoping that it’s kind of tough to wear around, it’ll be that ridiculous.”

As to how ridiculous, the design of the ring has been kept under wraps. One of the only chances Ravens fans will get to see their new franchise quarterback wearing his newest piece of jewelry is on the night of the ring ceremony.

“I won’t be wearing that thing out,” he said. “I’ll probably be too scared someone will come try and steal it off of me.”

Flacco did mention that he’ll bring his ring around a few places to show friends and family members.

Knowing how “average” of a guy Joe has been portrayed to be, it’s assumed that the ring will be a secondary conversation as to what toppings they’ll want for family pizza night.
