Here’s how this will work: Each guru has weekly columns of classic “Start/Sit” options for the week ahead. I will grade each of the players picked by each guru on the following point system:
- QB “starts” must reach 20 points to receive a “correct”, QB “sits” must have under 20 points to receive a “correct”.
- RB, WR, and TE “starts” must get to 10 points to receive a “correct”, RB, WR, and TE “sits” must have below 10 points to receive a “correct”.
- Team Defense “starts” must reach 8 points to receive a “correct” and Team Defense “sits” must record below 8 points to receive a “correct”.
At the end of each week, you will see the percentage of players that each guru estimated correctly and how many picks they got right. At the end of each week, the gurus will be ranked on their weekly and yearly percentages. At the end of the year, whatever guru has the highest percentage of correct picks will be unveiled as the most reliable fantasy football guru.
Note: We will not include the “sleeper” picks in these rankings. Each guru usually has one pick in each category called something like “sleeper alert”—those will not be included.
