The Ravens will head into their final week of offseason team activities (OTAs) this week before the team breaks for a month or so before training camp begins in late July.

Beginning on Tuesday at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, MD, the team will conduct its mandatory three-day minicamp.

Here is a look into some of the rules and regs they must follow under the new Collective Bargaining Agreement (2011):

All Offseason Organized Team Activities (OTAs) have been reduced from 14 days to 10.

Per the NFLPA, minicamps must now be held during week three or four of the club’s Phase 3 offseason workout program between Monday and Thursday. Physical exams may take place on Monday but no practice can be held that day.

Practice can take place on Tuesday through Thursday; Friday is reserved as a day off. Players may be on the field no more than 3 ½ hours per day, with one practice per day of up to 2 ½ hours and the second practice being limited to walk-through activities only.

No organized team activities may start prior to 7:00 am or end after 8:30 pm, and players may only participate in a maximum of 10 hours of club activities including taping and treatment but excluding meal time in any one day of minicamp.

Finally, there will be no contact work (e.g., “live” blocking, tackling, pass rushing, bump-and-run) or use of pads (helmets permitted) at minicamps.

The NFL does require that this three-day camp be open to the media.
