Cutting The Cable Cord

If you’re a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and you don’t live in an area where you can watch them, you probably subscribe to a cable service so you can see them play. Thankfully, you can get rid of cable and still watch the Ravens play on Fubo or Hulu. Streaming Ravens games just got easier.

This year’s season looks particularly good so you don’t want to miss any Ravens games. They start with a road game in Las Vegas against the Raiders, followed by the home-opener against the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs.

After winning their final five games last season, the Ravens finished second to the Steelers in the AFC North. Here’s hoping this year they can do even better.

Why Leave Cable TV?

If you’re not in the local market or have reception problems, you probably think you have to subscribe to cable TV to watch the games. But the truth is: you don’t have to subscribe to cable.

Surveys suggest that as many as 90% of the channels on cable TV go unwatched. But, you still have to pay for them. Disputes between networks and cable companies can blackout your favorite teams for months and months — not to mention local NFL blackouts when M&T Bank Stadium doesn’t sell out.

How to Watch Ravens Games on Hulu

One option that will let you watch Baltimore Raven football games is to subscribe to Hulu Live. With Hulu Live basic service, you will get 60 channels that include plenty of sports channels including:

  • TNT
  • BTN
  • Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2
  • ESPN and ESPN 2
  • CBS
  • Golf
  • NBC and NBCSN

It was just announced that you can get the NFL Network and NFL RedZone on Hulu Live at no extra cost.

With Hulu Live, you don’t need a contract and you can cancel at any time. For $64.99 per month, you get a total of 75 channels, 50 hours of cloud DVR, and your local channels are included at no extra cost.

To get Hulu Live, you will need a supported device like:

  • Apple TV
  • Smart TVs from brands like Samsung, LG, and Vizio
  • Streaming devices like Chromecast, Roku, and Fire TV
  • A PC or Mac computer
  • Xbox, Nintendo, or a PlayStation gaming console

You should have at least 3 Mbps for streaming most of their content, but it is recommended that you have speeds of 8 Mbps for live streams and 16 Mbps for 4k content.

The next step is to go to the Hulu website, where you can get a free 7-day trial. To sign up, you will need a US-issued credit card or debit card or another type of digital payment like PayPal, a Hulu gift card or Venmo. Fill out the information and then click submit.

Once you log in, you can set up your home network. To set up a home network, you need a residential internet connection, not a mobile connection. Click on the Live TV icon and select the channel you want to watch. Hulu will also load a live TV guide.
