RSR was not represented in Spartanburg today but we thought to serve up some observations via Twitter, courtesy of a few guys regularly on the beat. But first, let’s jump in the mix with a couple of entertaining tweets from the Ravens featuring Marcus Peters.
Peters is an intelligent player who is highly respected by his teammates and coaching staff. He’s also a fierce competitor and that was apparent throughout these joint sessions with the Panthers. And oftentimes that level of competitiveness can get under the skin of opponents.

The Ravens were very thin today at wide receiver. The MIA’s from the positional group included Marquise Brown, Devin Duvernay, Rashod Bateman, Miles Boykin, Deon Cain and Sammy Watkins.

Across the offensive line Ronnie Stanley is still limited but at least he’s now out there on the field rounding into shape.

Ben Cleveland was out again and Alejandro Villanueva got the day off – probably an off day he didn’t deserve. He’s been a repeat target of offensive line coach Joe D’Alessandris’ wrath. He has a ways to go to play to the level of his pay grade.
Here but not practicing: Hollywood Brown, Devin Duvernay, Deon Cain, Marlon Humphrey, Alejandro Villanueva and Miles Boykin
Notable absences: Sammy Watkins, Ben Cleveland, Justice Hill and Aaron Crawford

Usually the Ravens outstanding multimedia staff does a great job of providing highlights from each day’s practice. Today, this was the best they could do.

Given the lengthy list of players calling out today, as one might imagine, the offense was rather offensive…

Mark Andrews has had a very productive camp and works extremely hard each day. Today was no exception although the elements may have contributed to his severe cramping during this morning’s session. Andrews has Type 1 diabetes. Heat and humidity can contribute to the adverse effects.
Was a scary scene with Mark Andrews. They brought him under tent, ambulance down to side of field. Seems like situational has settled down.

I happened to be watching Mark Andrews as he started cramping up. Some sights from the scary scene:
?Andrews was in so much pain that he initially couldn’t stretch
?As practice ended, he appeared to be hooked up to an IV
?An ambulance had to be calledhttps://t.co/C0e2S8DYY9— Jonas Shaffer (@jonas_shaffer) August 19, 2021
I was on the Ravens sideline where Mark Andrews went down. He was obviously cramping full body. Ambulance brought in to stabilize him. John Harbaugh confirms it was cramping. Teammates spoke of how hard Andrews was working in the heat #? #WJZ w Ravens in So Car 5/6pm reports pic.twitter.com/2tJnOyghb4

Lamar Jackson got in two solid days of work running the Ravens offense albeit with better results against the Panthers on Day 1 of the two-day scrimmaging. It would be a shocker to see him take the field in Charlotte, particularly behind the offensive line that the Ravens will roll out to start Saturday night’s game.
Harbaugh said that Justice Hill hasn’t been cleared yet with ankle sprain. He wouldn’t comment on whether Lamar Jackson will or won’t play Saturday.
