Happy Wednesday, Ravens Flock! The Super Bowl is this Sunday and we have to watch our division rival Cincinnati Bengals play for their first Super Bowl championship. I think I speak for all of us in the Flock when I scream LET’S GO RAMS.

Outside of the heartbreak that is watching the Bungles somehow compete for sports’ ultimate prize, there is a bit of news fluttering around the Baltimore Ravens for us to talk about. At a minimum, the Twitter-verse always keeps things interesting when it comes to the Flock.

Come Out to Lunch with me and let’s explore what happening with the Flock today!

Starting off with some real news, former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale has agreed to become the New York Giants’ new defensive coordinator.

This truly is a good hire for the Giants, as they have some solid personnel on that side of the ball, including some great chess pieces like Leonard Williams and Jabrill Peppers. Wink should be able to have fun with his new toys and we couldn’t be happier for him and his new opportunity. Here’s hoping he doesn’t overcomplicate the pass rush and make an already struggling pass rushing team falter even more.

The Giants are also expected to take another Ravens coach (or more) with Wink:

Wilkins spent 12-years with Baltimore and has a firm and established relationship with the organization, but also has a new opportunity in New York to rejoin Martindale after parting ways with the Ravens. It also (allegedly) wouldn’t be surprising to see more coaches follow Martindale to the Big Apple. He was always a well-respected coach in Charm City, so this isn’t too big of a shock.

Just like with Wink, we hope nothing but the best for these men moving on to new opportunities… but just know we will have the date Baltimore plays New York circled on the calendar!

We got to see some of our favorite Baltimore Ravens shine in Las Vegas this past Sunday thanks to the Pro Bowl and to the surprise of no one Mark Andrews shined brighter than anyone else there:

Just like they say in the video, Andrews is a dawg. Andrews caught two touchdowns in the AFC’s win over the NFC squad in this year’s Pro Bowl.

Unreal stat alert: Lamar Jackson rushed for over 9.8 billion yards in 2021… via Madden:

We all know that Jackson has been the closest cheat code to Michael Vick back in the days of Madden 05 but doesn’t this seem a bit extreme?! I mean don’t get me wrong, I am always using the Baltimore Ravens for Madden but that’s more because I am a fan than because I value Jackson being a threat to the humanity of my opponent. That is, however, a very awesome bonus that comes with playing with the Ravens! Obviously, A LOT of other fans of the game would agree.

What does everyone say again? Not bad for a running back? Nah, how about not bad for a Madden GOAT.

Speaking of Lamar, did you guys catch this from the Baltimore Orioles Twitter account?!

No, that’s not actually Jackson, folks. For those of you too young to realize who Lamar is being photoshopped over, that would be the athletic legend that is Bo Jackson. Both legends in their own right.

Now how on earth did we get a photoshopped Lamar over Bo Jackson pic from the Baltimore Orioles Twitter page at 5 pm on a Tuesday? Well, it started with a video of Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown taking some swings in a batting cage and the post informing us that he was actually drafted by the San Diego Padres a few years back. Our MVP quarterback quoted the video and told the home team to “give me two weeks” and the rest is history. Now, we have an absolutely legendary edit of two of the greatest athletes with the last name “Jackson” together. Isn’t Twitter great?

We will end this edition of Out to Lunch with some chills and vibes for the rest of your week courtesy of the Baltimore Ravens Twitter page:

No matter how rough a season it may be, it is ALWAYS a great day to be a Baltimore Ravens fan! Have an amazing week, Flock!
