Who are the greatest Baltimore Ravens players of all time? This is a question that many fans have asked over the years. While there are many great players to choose from, there are three that stand out above the rest. These three players have not only left their mark on the Ravens franchise but on the NFL as a whole. They are sure to be remembered for years to come. So, without further ado, here are the top three greatest Baltimore Ravens players of all time.

Ray Lewis

Ray Lewis had an extraordinary career in the NFL, being indisputably one of the greatest linebackers ever to play the game. He played with unbridled passion and a relentless work ethic that inspired generations of young players to strive for similar success. While he was known for his intimidating presence on-field, he was also a strong motivator who changed the culture of winning within his team. His performance not only translated into stats, but it took the Baltimore Ravens to glorious heights, winning two Super Bowls, earning him several awards, and seeing him become a part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame as well. Lewis was more than just an incredible football player – he remains a role model that demonstrates what it takes to reach peak performance and beyond!

Ed Reed

Ed Reed is widely revered as one of the best safeties to play in the NFL. His career spanned 11 seasons, with most of that spent with the Baltimore Ravens, where he was part of their historic defense. During his time, he accumulated impressive stats, collecting over 600 combined tackles and 64 interceptions, the second most in NFL history. He was an 8-time Pro Bowl selection and a 5-time All-Pro selection. But most notably, he helped the Ravens win their Super Bowl championship after they beat the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in entertaining fashion during SB XLVII. Despite retiring back in 2015, his legacy lives on, making him a Ravens legend and one of the greatest defensive players of his era.

Jonathan Ogden

Jonathan Ogden is rightfully remembered as one of the greatest offensive linemen of all time. The Hall of Famer made an incredible impact on the Baltimore Ravens during his 12 years with the team, leading them to a victory in Super Bowl XXXV and earning All-Pro honors four times. Ogden achieved such success by simply outworking his opponents; he spent countless hours studying film and perfecting his technique to ensure that he dominated both mentally and physically in each game he played. Indeed, Ogden remains an iconic figure in Baltimore – not only for his commitment to excellence on the field but also for staying true to the city and team that believed in him when few others did.

Conclusion

These three players have cemented themselves as some of the greatest Baltimore Ravens players ever to take the field. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and Jonathan Ogden will be remembered for years to come, not only for their incredible on-field performances but also for the positive impact they made off it. While there are many other great Ravens players out there, these three stand out from the rest as true icons of Baltimore sports.

  1. Ray Lewis is the greatest Raven of all time BUT I’ve come around to the notion that Reed was the best player in team history if that makes sense. I can’t think of any player who defined a franchise from its inception more so than Lewis, but I also believe Ed is the greatest defensive back in NFL history.
