Hello everyone, and a happy Friday, Ravens Flock. Thursday was the day the NFL released the schedule for all NFL Teams. So today, we will break down what it means for the Ravens in 2023, and we will also have a mini rant about the process of releasing said schedule.
The NFL released the schedules, but it can’t be easy, right? No, of course, the NFL has to make this a big show, waste everyone’s time, and make the fans wait until 8 pm.
Just drop the schedule guys this isn’t selection Sunday

Look, I get it. The NFL wants every dollar they can squeeze out of any event imaginable but give me a break. Why does everything have to be a show in the NFL? Just give me the darn schedule and stop messing around. Are people so desperate for football that they will wait until eight at night just to see what time their favorite team is playing? Like, come on, man, no other sport does this. They want to make a big show for the Draft, fine, but making fans wait to find out what time their team is playing is just a waste of time.
It’s not like we don’t know who they are playing; we have known that for months. The NFL’s addiction to making everything a big show and wasting people’s time is just very annoying.
Look, if you enjoy this because it excites you for the season good for you. Personally, I think this is just a way for the NFL to make more money.
I don’t like wasting my time, so I opt to look at leaks for the schedule on Twitter. Now these leaks aren’t always accurate, but most of the time, they are. This one was:

This should be a ton of fun. A battle between a great defense versus the king of offense in Kyle Shanahan on Christmas will be Must-See TV.
The rest of the Ravens’ schedule is available here.
I love the Matchup in Week 1, and getting to face some divisional opponents early is a nice test for the team.
In terms of the overall strength of the schedule, this is what the NFL says about that:
The Ravens rank 21st in the NFL in strength of schedule. Their 2023 opponents had a record of 138-147-2 last season (.484).

“The Ravens are going to be a very good team this year,” is what I hear you saying. I know, shocking.
One of the most underrated aspects of a good team is how much they have to travel. Travel takes a lot out of a team, and playing on the road can be tough, The schedule has Baltimore playing three west coast teams away as well as traveling to London.
But just how much traveling is involved?
CORRECTED now for round trip. I suppose we should probably fly back after games too haha.
Last year, the Ravens traveled 8,658 air miles.
This year, despite having one fewer road game, the Ravens will travel 24,442 miles.

That number may be much higher mainly due to traveling to London and back, but that is a ton more overall that the team has to do. They will be tested on how they can handle that. Hopefully, Harbs can get his team motivated and keep them fresh and free of jet lag.
If anything fun comes out of this, at least Twitter admins are having fun, right?

Oh, look at that. Whatever, it’s Twitter, and I am not going to let a poverty franchise with a 5’5 Quarterback taking a low-hanging fruit joke upset me more.
It was the Tennessee Titans who took home the schedule release crown this year. Watch this and tell me you don’t come away cry-laughing.
We asked people on Broadway to help us with our 2023 schedule release. 🤣

That is enough for today; in total, the Ravens are going to find a way to balance a bunch of traveling while also trying to adapt to a new Offensive system.
So please, NFL, not everything has to be a big show, and just give us the schedule online and stop the games.
