Good Morning, Flock, and Happy Hump Day!
Let’s start our Wednesday with one of my favorites, a Baldy Breakdown. This one is of Lamar Jackson’s day in Cincy:
.@Ravens @Lj_era8 after a small sample size and only 2 games; Lamar leads the NFL in completion % Nearly 75%…..10% higher than his career average. Maybe coaching and a better surrounding cast helps #ravensflock #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/b5kuT56sQS

The Ringer’s Steven Ruiz was impressed with LJ’s play in Week 2 as well. a
Said this on Sunday's @ringernfl show and feel even stronger after a rewatch:
I've never seen Lamar Jackson so in control of an NFL game. He dominated it in a way we haven't seen from him, which is wild to say about a unanimous MVP winner.
Finally given the tools to do it

To really get into it, I recommend this episode of The QB School with former NFL QB J.T. O’Sullivan.
In other news, after the devastating injury to Nick Chubb on Monday Night Football, the Cleveland Browns have reunited with Kareem Hunt.
Here in Baltimore, after JK Dobbins’ injury, the Ravens are still in decent shape with Justice Hill & Gus Edwards on the squad, and rookie Keaton Mitchell potentially joining them in Week 5. Still, they aren’t resting on their laurels.
Ravens are taking a look at some veteran RBs today. Along with Kenyan Drake, Ronald Jones and James Robinson are in for workouts, per sources.

Kenyan Drake was in Baltimore in 2022, playing in 12 games and racking up 482 yards and four touchdowns, including a huge game in New York in Week 6, where he gashed the Giants for 119 yards on just 10 carries. I’d still like to see Gus & Justice get the lion’s share of the work though, and like all of #RavensFlock, I want Mitchell to get an opportunity.
Speaking of Ravens on IR, Marlon Humphrey is keeping busy as well, including on his new podcast. This week, he really stirred the pot:
#Ravens star CB Marlon Humphrey openly questions if #Patritos Bill Belichick is an elite coach: "Is Belichick elite, or Tom Brady elite? it's looking more like Brady."
"I don't know if Belichick was ever daggum dirty."
"It's been three losing seasons?…. It looks like some… https://t.co/Aj6Gj6vvRe pic.twitter.com/8YyP1x5zOS

I used to think the New England dynasty was 50/50 Brady/Bill, if not tilted more toward the coach. Given more recent evidence though – including both New England post-Tom and Tom in Tampa – I have a hard time arguing with Fruit Punch.
Finally today, you know I can’t leave without mentioning the winners of four straight, the Baltimore Orioles! The Birds’ magic number is down to eight, and they go for the sweep in Houston this afternoon, after mashing four home runs in last night’s win over the Astros.
As I like to say…O’s, Mofos.
