This morning, we learned that Ravens linebacker Kyle Van Noy will be adding something to his resume next month: television host.
🚨 Yahoo Sports is rolling out two new shows ahead of the 2024 NFL season 🚨
🏈 Football 301: Will deliver expert analysis to help fans better understand the NFL’s X’s and O’s (@Nate_Tice, @FourVerts, @MattHarmon_BYB)
🏈 McCoy & Van Noy: Will cover the NFL through the player… pic.twitter.com/U5hfZVXBEc

“McCoy and Van Noy,” with Kyle and former All-Pro Gerald McCoy, will begin in late August on Yahoo!, and will “cover the NFL through the player point-of-view.” That should provide some pretty cool behind-the-scenes stuff, so we’ll definitely be looking forward to it.
Elsewhere, Rams head coach Sean McVay was on The Athletic Football Show podcast, where he spoke about what it was like to face a Mike MacDonald defense (he says McDaniel, but we forgive you, Sean) last season.
The entire Athletic Football show podcast with McVay is a must watch/listen. But for Seahawks fans, here’s a clip of McVay discussing what makes Mike Macdonald such a good defensive coach https://t.co/heFktqnMjM pic.twitter.com/spweAV4CF0

Some highlights of that clip (McVay talks very fast!)
* Ravens rushed “four as one as well as anybody”
* Kyle Hamilton is “one of the ultimate chess pieces…such a baller”
* “You felt like you were playing against 13 players sometimes”
* “Roquan does a great job with his communication, his command”
So Seahawks fans have a lot to look forward to. Here in Baltimore, we are eager to see how Zach Orr picks up where his predecessor left off and continues to carry the torch of defensive excellence.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Flock is still waiting for our first look at Lamar Jackson in training camp. The quarterback has missed the first three days due to illness. John Harbaugh gave us the closest thing to an update we’ll get yesterday:
John Harbaugh provided a non-update on Lamar Jackson after today's practice: “I’m sure he’s closer to getting out there than he was. It’s just a matter of when the doctors are going to clear him and he’s going to feel good enough.”

The NFL’s sickest man will, hopefully, be back out there today. In addition to missing time with his teammates, new and old, it stinks for the Ravens fans who were able to secure training camp passes to not be able to see number eight out there. That’s now three straight such groups of disappointed kids. I am certainly not saying it’s Lamar’s fault that he’s sick (don’t put in the newspaper that I said that), by the way. LJ just did a huge event for kids down in Florida. The man puts in the time. And from the vids I’ve seen, all the fans – adults & kids – are having a blast out there regardless.
Let’s just hope QB1 emerges from the building today, feeling 100%.
